The Primary Environment

The Montessori primary curriculum is designed with the understanding that children learn best through real-life activities that support independence, concrete experiences that engage the senses, and open-ended exploration.

Children thrive through opportunities to follow their own interests and freely choose their own activities within the prepared environment.  These meaningful activities lead to the refinement of their movements, sensory perceptions, language and intellect development.  Through guided exploration, children develop independence, concentration and curiosity.

Before Care 7:15am-8:15am

After Care 3:30pm-5:30pm

After Care is a more traditional afterschool program that offers children the opportunity to make crafts, work on cooking projects, read, explore themed activities, and engage in imaginary play.

The goal of early childhood education should be to activate the child’s own natural desire to learn.
